After Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu entered into Brindavana at Mantralaya, the King of Tanjore, Sri Vijayaraghava Nayaka got into depression, he was feeling sad that Rayaru was missing in his life. He was feeling lonely and deserted. He spent much of his solitary time on the banks of Vadavuru where Rayaru performed his holy penance. While he was in the palace, he was nostalgic of Rayaru’s Pattabisheka in the courtyard. Every single day, the King thought of Rayaru and was feeling his absence, strongly.

The feeling of missing Rayaru gets deep rooted. One night, Rayaru appears in his dream and informs him to consecrate a Brindavana and he would stay there in his Sukshma Sharira. The delighted King gets another question as to where the Brindavana to be erected? Rayaru appears in his dreams again and tells him to go to the banks of Vadavuru to receive the directions. Accordingly, the following day the King and its family reached the banks of Vadavuru and surprisingly a five-headed serpent appears and leads them to a place and turns into a form of a stone serpent. The King bows his head and consecrates the Brindavana at that specific point.

As per the instructions of Rayaru in his dream, the sanctum sanctorum remains roofless and the Brindavana has no KoormaPeeta and instead we find a five-headed serpent beneath the Brindavana. It also has no sacred sand in it like other Mritthika Brindavanas, as Rayaru himself had performed penance on that soil. Further Rayaru had promised to stay in the Brindavana with Sukshma Sharira or astral body.
