In your deepest moments of grief, and in moments of helplessness, a time when you might go weak and lose faith, strength and a possibility when you feel you have reached the end of a road, when you cannot go ahead, when you cannot see clearly into your future and life seems, bleak…a GURU, a saint, a teacher, a father comes and holds your hand.
This GURU lifts you from your abyss of darkness, puts you on the path of hope through a process of self-discovery. This GURU is Raghavendra Swamy, a divine saint who is a messiah in our life and times, a father who can bring us back to an enriched life and a life of fulfilment.
‘GURU’ is a Sanskrit word, literally meaning a ‘teacher, guide, expert or a master,’ someone who puts you on the path of spirituality, a journey inwards into yourself, who can help you attain a high level of self-actualization, who can catalyse you, enable you to discover yourself in ways you would be unaware of. Guru Raghavendra Swamy is considered one such teacher, a master, a father who takes his children, his believers and followers into an inward journey.
Guru Raghavendra Swamy is a 16th Century saint, who advocated the Madhwa Siddhanta or the Madhwa philosophy, throughout his lifetime, imparting humanistic principles, ethical values and building a cultural ecosystem for his believers. In 1671, on the Dwitiya Day of Sravana Krishna Paksha, the Guru entered the holy Brindavan in Mantralayam and attained Jeeva Samadhi. However, even to this day, his essence, his presence, his teachings, his benevolence and compassion is felt by scores of people across the world. Guru Raghavendra Swamy is still felt by his very aura, his presence is sensed by believers of his value system and it is almost accepted that he will continue to be present for 700 years.
