Ibhramapura Appa.

Krishnacharya popularly known as Ibharamapura Appa hails from a small village which is located near Mantralaya. He was born by the grace and blessing of Rayaru. Once, the young Krishnacharya went away from home to a forsaken place and wept as he was scolded by his parents. An old man supposed to be Ashwatthama consoles and informs him that he would render great service to the mankind by spreading the grace of Sri Raghavendra Teertharu. As days passed, Krishnacharya transforms into a scholar with deep learning of Sudha Parimala and develops a strong devotion towards Rayaru. He used to make daily trip to Mantralaya have the real Darshan of Rayaru and at times if he is unable to visit Mantralaya, Rayaru used to appear for him at Ibhramapura. Such was the strong connect he had with Rayaru.

He continuously engaged in solving problems of the people with the guidance of Rayaru. Impressed with his personality the King of Mysore Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar treated Krishnacharya as his mentor. There were several students learning Sudha Parimala under his guidance. Krishnacharya fall into the bracket of a select few staunch devotees like Sri Appanacharya, Sri Krishnavadootha and Sri Jagannatha Dasa.

Sri Krishnacharya’s Brindavana, Appa katte and Achamma Katte are worth visiting at Ibhramapura located just 2.5 Km from Mantralaya.
