Kundan Thayaru blessed with a Siddhi.

One young Brahmin by name Kundan Thayaru lived near Udupi. He was jobless, wiling away his time with all unwanted vices. He never attempted to change his way of life.  Years passed by and once and when he was walking by a street dog bit his leg severely causing severe pain. A saint passing by watch’s him suffering tells him not to worry and all the very good happens to him hereafter also tells him to go to Mantralaya and perform a seva asking for a siddhi.

He visits Mantralaya, starts the pradakshina with a burning camphor in his hand chanting the mantra of Rayaru. This goes on for several days and one-night Rayaru appears in his dream to tell him that he has granted him the Siddhi of predicting one’s future, but he continues his seva without grasping what he has been granted. Rayaru appears again in his dream and tells him that he is blessed with an unusual siddhi wherein he can forecast the life of a person by just observing a line on the feet. The Brahmin imbibes all the saintly qualities and starts practicing the siddhi. Thousands of people line up for his predictions. He achieves name and fame, with the siddhi granted by Rayaru.

His curious disciples pleaded him to share the knowledge, but he never did it. Rayaru, if pleased can bless with knowledge beyond one’s comprehension.
