Lord Jaya Rama Idol

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt Worships Lord Moola Rama and different forms of Rama as the principal deities. An interesting Idol of Lord Jaya Rama is worshipped in the mutt. This stand-alone idol was made by Sri Jayatirtharu, the sixth pointif of Sri Madhva Samsthana during the period 1365- 1388. The idol was specifically made for placing it towards the left side of Lord Moola Rama as a result Lord Moola Rama placed in the centre and Lord Digvijaya Rama and Lord Jaya Rama on either side. This idol of Jaya Rama made by Jayatritha itself makes the seva  curious. While the centre Lord Moola Rama Idol was worshiped by Lord Brahma, the Lord Digvijaya Rama idol kept to the right of the Lord Moola Rama was worshiped by Sri Madhvacharya, this Lord Jaya Rama idol was worshiped by Sri Jayateertha.

‘Jaya Rama meaning Victory Rama’ is a meaningfully coined name, as he remained victorious throughout his life over Asuras disturbing the fire rituals, Parushurama shoeing hatred toward Kshatriyas Kings, Ravana abducting sita etc…. Prayers to this lord is sure bestows one with victory’s.

The idol carries high sanctity as it was worshiped by Sri Jayateertha followed by many seers including Sri Surendra Teertharu ,Sri Vijayendra Teertharu, Sri Sudheendra Teertharu and Sri Raghavendra Teertharu.
