Lord Rama, His Aradhya Daiva

If you carefully notice the facade of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brindavana you find Lord Rama In the top centre.

It is said, The name Raghavendra has the credence for being suggested by Lord Rama himself to Sri Sudheendra tirtha. And hence Venkatanatha was given the name Sri Raghavendra Tirtha on taking up the Sanyasa. The word Raghava means Decedents of Raghu vamsha and Indra means Chief conveying the name of Lord Rama. Also lord moola Rama is the samsthana aradhya daiva. All the pontiffs of the Mutt even today affix there signatures as ‘Sri Ramachandra’.

It is observed Sri Guru Raghavendra Tirtha visited several priligrim destinations which were in fact visited by Lord Rama in the Treetha Yuga like Rameshwaram,Tamraparn, Kishkinda Mountains (Hampi) Mantralaya Manchale, etc. Finally the Brindavana was made using the stone touched by Lord Rama.

The Supreme in the form of Lord Rama is worshiped by the followers of Sri Mantralaya Mutt.

OM SRI RAGHAVENDRAYA NAMAHA OM!
