The head priest of Sri Vyasyaraj mutt at Coimbatore, a devoted Madhva Brahmin offered daily prayers and performing rituals to Lord Hanuman, Sri Vyasyaraja tirtha Brindavana and Sri Raghavendra Tirtha Brindavana. Though he worshipped the Mritika Brindavana, he would ensure a visit to Mantralaya moola Brindavana at least once in 5 years. Every time he visited Mantralaya, he would always have an interesting and unique experience to share.
Once in 2002 he arrived at Mantralaya late night and found the town over crowded with no rooms to check in. All efforts to get a room were in vain. He decided to sleep on the platform outside the temple premises. Immediately pressure and pain developed in his stomach creating an urgent need to attend to the nature’s call. He rushed towards the river along with the baggage for the call. As he approached the river he heard an old man shouting at him not to go near the river as it was gushing in high speed. He again called the Brahmin and asked him if he wants a room. He replied yes and happily engaged the room. As he entered the room the sense and pain of attending to the natures call had totally vanished. He chanted his night prayers and went to sleep.
The next morning, he woke up and recollected the previous night’s episode and felt that Guru Rayaru’s grace was upon him. Rayaru, a kind and benevolent Guru ensured that he could get a proper accommodation and a satisfactory sleep.
