Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu traveled to different pilgrim destinations in his lifetime and made it a point to visit all the places visited by Lord Rama in South India. He used to engage in preaching of Dwaitha philosophy during his tour. Giving discourses on Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata and other holy scriptures, was the norm. Spiritual seekers, and disciples used to attend the interesting discourses delivered by Rayaru. His talks gave clarity on personalities, places and events related to the centers he visited. On one occasion, during his visit to Rameswaram, he confirmed that the Shivalinga at that Kshetra was consecrated by lord Rama. He consecrated this Mahalinga before he visited Lanka with the Vanara sena to kill the demon Ravana, he said. He also clarified Ravana was born to a rakshashi Kaikasi and sage Vishrava and as such he was not a brahmin. He is not be misconstrued as a brahmin. He was wicked and had accumulated enough sins with his acts and deeds. He further clarified that Lord Rama was the supreme himself and he is not bound by any sins whatsoever like Brahma Hathya. He warded off the doubts of the disciples if Lord Rama has committed any sin.
His discourses were always purposeful, meaningful, detailed. He simplified the meaning to make sure that the layman and the ardent seekers understand the complex subjects.
