The child Venkatanatha born to Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta was brought up in a traditional manner, as customary in a Brahmin family. The child was born with the grace of lord Venkateshwara, and was noticed to be spiritually inquisitive. The child used to ask several questions to his father like the grown-ups on topics related to spirituality, creation, the supreme and more…
Once the child is supposed to have asked the father, how the syllable Om could envelope the infinite Brahmanda in it? While children of his age were playful, here Venkatanatha was engrossed in seeking clarifications for questions difficult to be answered by the most accomplished scholars.
A question like this was sufficient to understand that the child possessed a very high spiritual quotient. The Spiritual rush and the drive were so intense in the child that made him pose such questions. Accordingly, the child gets mentoring, and tutoring done by the competent and the right teachers like his father, Sri Lakshminarasimacharya and Sri Sudhindra Thirtharu. The symptoms exhibited by the child were the real signs of Mahagnani in the making. The child in its journey was virtuous in securing the desired intellect with immense devotion and detachment.
From asking a question on “om” as a child, to write and explain Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads Brahmasutras, to the whole world, the mankind today calls him as Sarvavidya Praveena!
