Thimanna Bhatta and Gopikamba constantly prayed lord Venkateshwara for a boy child, visited Tirumala the abode of lord Venkateshwara and stayed for long duration. The couple offered sevas during their pilgrimage. Thimanna Bhatta a scholar by himself used to do the parayana and deliver discourses on our epics and puranas.
One evening Thimmana Bhatta delivered a discourse in an extremely interesting manner on Bhaghavata Purana in the premises of the temple complex under the Vimana Venkateshwara Gopuram. He was covering seventh, eighth and ninth kaanda narrating the episode of Prahalada’s unshaken Bhakti winning against Hiranyakashapus vengeance towards Narayana. This had resulted in lord Narsimha’s terrifying appearance to slay the demon, Hiranyakashapu. The audience were overjoyed listening to the lords love for the devoted Prahalada. On completion of the discourse the highly devoted Thimanna Bhatta witnesses the Arathi and says Krishnaarpana. After the Prasadam was consumed he goes to sleep and to his pleasant surprise lord Venkateshwara appears in his dream to tell him that he was extremely happy with his discourse and has blessed him with same Prahalada to be born as his son.
The couple Thimanna Bhatta and Gopikamba with no bounds to their joy move on to have a virtuous boy child who transforms to become Vishwaguru Sri Raghavendra Thirtharu -a yogi of the highest order practicing and preaching the doctrine Hari Sarvothama.
